Since March 2024, TROX has been certified by DQS in accordance with ISO 20400 for sustainable procurement. Thus TROX ensures sustainability in every aspect of the procurement processes and increases the transparency of the supply chain.
ISO 20400 enables structured and improved sustainability aspects in global purchasing activities:
The Purchasing department carries the responsibility to procure products and services sustainably concerning their social, economic, and ecological aspects since the lowest offer is predictably neither the most profitable, ecological, nor socially just one.
Sustainable procurement therefore contributes to resilience and future viability of TROX, as well as to its long-term profitability.
With this progress, TROX Purchasing has made an important contribution in terms of socially, ecologically and economically sustainable procurement decisions.
The Responsible Minerals Initiative is committed to responsible procurement of minerals in global supply chains.
Goals are:
RMI works internationally with more than 500 companies from various industries and provides tools and resources for responsible mineral sourcing.
It helps to make sourcing decisions, improves compliance with regulations and supports the ethical sourcing of minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas. The RMI provides a platform for collaboration, transparency and exchange for responsible supply chains.
TROX GmbH has been an RMI member since 2024 and uses its guidelines to increase transparency regarding conflict minerals in the supply chain.
