RESEARCH PROJECTS

As an innovation leader, TROX has been working with research institutes in Germany and abroad on promising research projects for decades.

The "Energy-optimised construction research initiative (EnOB)" of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is being used in a targeted manner. Together with scientific partners such as the Hermann Rietschel Institute at the Technical University of Berlin or the E.ON Energy Research Centre at RWTH Aachen University as well as other partner companies, promising future projects are initiated and developed. Examples of such research projects are as follows:

  • "Radioduct": Improved efficiency of ventilation and air-conditioning systems in existing buildings through radio-based control

  • "LuftKonVerTeR": Calculation and evaluation principles for the dynamic operation of ventilation systems consisting of air handling units (conditioning) and ductwork (distribution) to increase energy efficiency in partial load operation
  • "RLT-Auto": Automatic commissioning and monitoring of ventilation and air conditioning systems
  • "WP-RLT": Maximum conservation of resources through optimised integration of heat pumps with natural refrigerants in ventilation and air conditioning systems

For many years now, TROX has also been a member of the Forschungsvereinigung für Luft- und Trocknungstechnik (FLT) e.V. (German Research Association for Air Handling and Drying Technology). In the FLT network, manufacturers of ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as specialist planners, system operators and building owners work together successfully within the framework of competitive collective research. Together with renowned research institutions, research is carried out here on the optimisation of fans, ventilation and air conditioning systems and technical building equipment.
