Focus Design – this is the motto under which TROX proves once more its innovative potential at the BAU 2015 (Hall B1, Booth 120), which takes place from 19 to 24 January 2015 in Munich, Germany. The presentations revolve around the concept of separating function and design and the resulting freedom for architects and specialist consultants when turning technical challenges into aesthetic solutions.
A new highlight from TROX is the new Type DID614 active chilled beam with four-way air discharge and horizontal heat exchanger, suitable for grid ceilings with grid size 600 or 625. This new addition to the range of active chilled beams is about to set a new design standard.
The DID614 is, just like the DID604, available as a square (600 x 600 mm) or rectangular variant (1200 x 600 mm) and can be fitted with a 2-pipe or 4-pipe heat exchanger. The induced air grille can be easily removed; its elegant design with decreasing apertures towards the edges makes it an aesthetic element of modern ceiling systems. New options include water-side connections using push-fit couplings and new nozzle geometries such as the adjustable twin nozzles, which increase the range of applications of the units.
DID614 advantages at a glance:

DID614 active chilled beams are available in two sizes, 600 x 600 mm square or 1200 x 600 mm rectangular; they are designed for a cooling capacity of up to 2 000 W or a heating capacity of up to 1600 W and for volume flow rates from 8 to 70 l/s or 30 to 250 m³/h.
Customers' creative freedom was again given prominence in the development of the new DID642 active chilled beam. The slim active chilled beams provide more creative options. Whether low false ceilings in new buildings, or refurbished buildings with little clear height – the DID642 opens up a world of possibilities for designers and architects. The brilliant energy efficiency of the water-chilled system is a cool feature for serious cost controllers.

DID642 active chilled beams come in sizes from 900 to 3000x600x170 mm (LxHxD) and have been designed for a cooling capacity of up to 2600 W or a heating capacity of up to 3500 W, and for volume flow rates of 8 to 85 l/s or 30 to 300 m³/h.
