Expansion of the filter business: TROX acquires Czech company KS Klima-Service a.s.

TROX GmbH is set to acquire one hundred per cent of KS Klima-Service a.s., the leading Czech air filter manufacturer; the acquisition is to take effect on 31 May 2019. The share purchase agreement was signed on 14 May 2019.

KS Klima-Service was founded in 1993 and has a manufacturing facility in Pribram, near Prague. The company's main activities include development, manufacture and sale of air filters for the HVAC industry as well as special filter equipment for industrial filtration applications.

While the company name will change to TROX KS Filter a.s., the current Board of Management will remain in place, i.e. Jan Berger (Chairman) will remain responsible for Sales, Petr Hrubý for Technology, and Miloš Veselý for Finance.

There will be a new addition to the Board of Management, however. Explains Thomas Mosbacher, Member of the Board of Management of TROX GmbH and responsible for Finance, HR and IT: 'We are very happy that Thomas Klamp, who is in charge of the filter business of TROX GmbH, will join the Board of Management of our Czech subsidiary and also oversee its integration into the TROX GROUP.'

Udo Jung, Member of the Board of Management of TROX GmbH and responsible for Sales, Technology and Production, adds: 'It is our goal to increase our filter expertise, to optimise production synergies, and to strengthen and expand our Czech location. By acquiring KS Klima-Service we also strengthen our presence in Eastern Europe.'
