FIRST FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST - ONLINE

For a project in England, the original plan was for the customers and our colleagues from TROX UK to come to Anholt for a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on 25th March 2020.

Unfortunately, this visit was unable to take place due to the coronavirus.

However, we were able to conduct the FAT in another format and we will show you how this was possible here.

FAT – VIA VIDEO CONFERENCE

The customers inspected the two X-CUBE devices (supply and extract air with heat recovery in each of the devices) via video conference and they viewed the devices in operation.

For the devices,

the volume flow rates and external pressures were examined
the electrical power consumption was recorded
the sound power was measured at the duct connections
and the housing leakage class was identified

MEASUREMENTS – LIVE AND IN REAL TIME

he measurements were filmed live in the video conference and the current measurement data from the measuring computer was captured in real time.

All the participants regarded the day as extremely successful and are very optimistic about the potential of online FATs to serve as an additional option beyond the coronavirus crisis and into the future.

FACTORY ACCEPTANCES AT TROX: AIR HANDLING UNITS

Our customers can visually inspect the air handling units in our Anholt production facility directly before delivery or they can request a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to be carried out on the basis of various performance criteria.

Examples of these performance criteria include:

Air volume flow rate and external pressure
Electrical power consumption
Pressure loss of components
Housing leakage class
Class of filter bypass leakage
Sound power data at the duct connections
Flow behaviour of the condensate drip tray
