TFC – MORE VARIABLE. SAFE. BETTER

NOTHING BUT CLEAN AIR - THE NEW TFC PARTICLE FILTER CEILING DIFFUSER ENSURES MAXIMUM AIR PURITY IN A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS

WHY THE TFC?

If nothing but clean air is to enter the room, the TFC ceiling diffuser is used. This is because the high-density supply air casing functions as a terminal filter stage with mini-pleat filter panels for the separation of suspended particles in clean air systems.

WHAT THE TFC CAN DO!!

The TFC is intended for installation in suspended ceilings of clean rooms in medicine, biology, pharmacy or sensitive technical areas and can offer a number of innovations. A lot of emphasis was placed on even easier handling and a wide range of applications.

ASK OUR CUSTOMERS!

That's exactly what we did. Because every application has its own special features. We had the TFC evaluated by our customers and took the results and customer wishes into account when optimising the TFC. In the end, many small details make for a big package of improvements. Check it out!

KARLSRUHE HOSPITAL

The Karlsruhe Municipal Hospital, which has been in existence since 1907, carried out extensive expansion measures in 2021 to modernise its infrastructure. The new building of House M, which houses intensive care units, surgical areas and nursing wards on 21,000 m2 , is of particular importance. The entire installation of the ventilation and air conditioning systems was carried out by TROX.

To meet the strict hygiene and safety standards, TFC ceiling mounted particulate filter diffusers were used. Energy-efficient air conditioning and ventilation is provided by several TROX X-CUBE air handling units, run-around coil systems for heat recovery and TROX volume flow controllers.

TAKEDA ORANIENBURG

The pharmaceutical manufacturer Takeda also relies on the versatile and hygienic air handling units of the X-CUBE type from TROX in its production facility in Oranienburg. In order to meet the high requirements for air treatment and energy efficiency, a run-around coil system (RAC system) was installed, which enables heat recovery of up to 80 %.

The use of HEPA filters in the TROX TFP clean room diffusers ensures the safe and efficient separation of particles, germs and viruses in accordance with strict standards and official regulations, including FDA approval.

FAQ: YOUR QUESTIONS OUR ANSWERS

Which seal for which TFC type?

Which seal for which TFC type?

Depending on the seal type, the TFC casing has a sealing blade (TFC-G) for filters with a gel seal, a flat contact surface (TFC-CF/ CFL) for filters with a foamed continuous seal or flat seal or a sealing test groove (TFC-FT / FTL) for filters with a flat seal.

What does CC mean?

What does CC mean?

CC stands for clip-in cassette ceilings; with this variant, the flange of the TFC's casing is enlarged to the outer dimension of the front diffuser.

What is the difference between ED and ID?

What is the difference between ED and ID?

ED stands for an outside front diffuser, ID for an inside front diffuser (ID= flush ceiling installation)

How do the SC and TC variants differ from SCA and TCA?

How do the SC and TC variants differ from SCA and TCA?

All TFCs are equipped with an aerosol measuring point. The SCA and TCA variants are additionally equipped with an aerosol injection tube in the supply air spigot, which can be used for aerosol feed.

What will be the height of my casing?

What will be the height of my casing?

All casing dimensions can be found in the current data sheet, and dimension G1 is decisive here.

What is the flange size of my casing?

What is the flange size of my casing?

All flange dimensions can be found in the current data sheet, and dimension F is decisive here.

It is important to note that with the combination CC+ED and 0-ID / CC-ID, the casing flange of the TFC is enlarged to the outer dimension of the front diffuser.

Does the diffuser front grow with it?

Does the diffuser front grow with it?

No, if a larger front diffuser is also required when enlarging the flange of the TFC, this must be requested separately.

Which front diffusers are available in STA?

Which front diffusers are available in STA?

Available front diffusers are: LF and VDWF

How is the diffuser face fixed?

How is the diffuser face fixed?

All front diffusers are screwed to the filter device via the centre attachment.

Depending on the diffuser type, this has either a countersunk hole or a through hole with a cover cap.

How is the filter scan test carried out in the installed system?

How is the filter scan test carried out in the installed system?

The filter scan test is carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-3.

To facilitate this, the TFC type has a removable cross bar on the press-on filter frame.

This enables easy access to the installed filter unit during the test procedure.

See installation and maintenance manual for the TFC type.

Is a central BMS connection possible?

Is a central BMS connection possible?

A suitable measuring device for pressure differential monitoring can be connected to the pressure differential measuring points which are provided as standard.

The measured values can then be forwarded to the central BMS.

A suitable measuring device would be, for example, the MD-DPC/24 type.
